Westmont, IL - May 21, 2001 -Silvon Software, a global provider of supply chain business performance management applications, and ABC Technologies, a provider of sophisticated activity-based costing and business analysis software, have formed an alliance to deliver an integrated solution for activity-based performance management.
In the agreement, Silvon will integrate ABC Technologies’ activity-based software applications, including Oros® ABC/M, with the Silvon Stratum™ module for Activity Cost Management. The combined application offers manufacturing and wholesale distribution businesses tools for developing detailed models of resources, activities and costs, along with analytics for managing those costs related to customers, product profitability, and operational performance.

As an example, a manufacturing company can use the integrated application to study a variety of activity-based costs for marketing and delivering product to a specific customer. These costs may include trade spending, entertainment expenses, special delivery/handling charges and special packaging costs. By applying analytics, the true profitability of that customer can then be determined and appropriate decisions made regarding future sales, marketing and delivery methods.
