Westmont, IL, April 16, 2002 In an initiative to better analyze product returns, open order backlogs and other sales-related activities, Broomfield, Colorado-based Bestop, Inc. has opted to use the Silvon Stratum application for Sales Performance Management. The manufacturer of soft tops, hard tops and other accessories for 4x4 vehicles was first introduced to Stratum by Silvon partner Nexgen Technologies, the largest independent consulting company for BPCS. Bestop will be integrating Stratum to its BPCS ERP system in order to leverage the sales data from it for analysis purposes.
We also looked at a well-known business intelligence toolset, but appreciated the way that Stratum can immediately address our business questions with minimal IT support through its pre-packaged, best practice analytics and powerful data warehousing engine, said Rick Flanigan, Bestops Controller and IT Director. We view Stratum as being extremely critical in supporting our efforts to optimize sales and customer service and believe the Silvon/Nexgen team offer the credibility and proven success we require for implementing and supporting a sales analysis solution within our IBM iSeries and BPCS environment.
The Stratum Sales Performance Management (SPM) application offers analytic functionality for Sales Planning, Demand Forecasting and Planning, Sales and Operations Planning, New Product Forecasting, Demand Management, Open Order Analysis, Sales and Profit Performance and Inventory Analysis. This application is the core component of the Stratum product suite, consisting of seven business performance management analytic applications.
In todays economy, sales performance management becomes even more mission-critical for manufacturing companies that are striving to reduce costs while maintaining high customer service levels, said Mike Hennel, president and CEO of Silvon. We are confident that Stratum will help Bestop achieve these goals and look forward to assisting them with their performance management initiatives.
We believed that Stratum was a natural fit for Bestop because hundreds of BPCS users worldwide have had proven success with Silvons analytical software solutions, said Alwyn J. Francis, Vice President of Services at Nexgen Software Technologies. When augmented by Stratum, our methodology for helping manufacturers optimize performance delivers quantifiable and measurable business improvements for the BPCS customers we serve.
