Westmont, IL, February 4, 2003 - Following strong sales activity in December 2002, Silvon Software announced that implementations of its enterprise performance management applications are now underway at Galveston, TX-based Del Papa Distributing Co.; Houston, TX-based Riviana Foods; Spartanburg, SC-based Hubbell Lighting, Inc; and, the Centralia, MO-based Hubbell Power Systems.
Del Papa Distributing Co., part of the Anheuser-Busch Wholesaler network, will be using Stratum to forecast their customer demand and to analyze performance in such areas as sales, inventory and supply. Del Papa will integrate the solution with its WCS route accounting system, developed by Anheuser-Busch 20 years ago for its distributors. In addition to leveraging Stratum's pre-built analytical views and reports, the company plans to use the solution's exception management capabilities to generate alerts when performance levels fall below pre-defined thresholds. As a result, Del Papa's managers will be able to visualize conditions and take appropriate actions. Built-in planning capabilities of Stratum will be used by Del Papa to perform "what-if" analysis in order to determine, for example, how changes in market conditions related to product and pricing impact the ability to meet sales and profitability targets.

Riviana Foods, Inc., one of the largest processors, marketers and distributors of branded and private-label rice products in the $1 billion U.S. retail rice category, also is deploying Silvon's Stratum. The company will be using Stratum to generate, store, analyze and update sales, forecast and quota data on a continual basis to help ensure that actual performance is aligned with sales targets. In addition, Riviana's financial organization will have the ability to review costs from an aggregate level as well as drill down to invoice and order level detail in order to allow for more timely monitoring of detailed cost data.
Also implementing Silvon Stratum is Hubbell Power Systems (HPS), a $350 million manufacturer and distributor of transmission, distribution and telecommunications products for utilities, contractors, and civil construction businesses. Stratum will be used by HPS to analyze sales, orders, bookings and inventory information. The solution's browser-based interface will allow company executives and its national network of field sales representatives to access and view system-generated performance reports anytime, anywhere. Hubbell Lighting, Inc another Hubbell Inc. affiliate and 40-year-old manufacturer of lighting fixtures and accessories, will be using Silvon's performance management solution to consolidate and analyze all customer- and sales-related data from nine different lighting companies, each running on different computer platforms with various operational systems.
