Silvon Software Adds Web-Based Planning Application to Enterprise Performance Management Solution Suite

New Application Drives Collaborative, Event-Based Planning Throughout the Enterprise

Westmont, IL, April 1, 2003 — Silvon Software, Inc. today unveiled a web-based planning application that will be sold and marketed under the company’s Stratum™ suite of Enterprise Performance Management solutions. The new application, called Stratum.iPlanner, is designed to allow businesses to:

• easily create sales plans and budgets;
• adjust system-generated demand forecasts, safety stocks, and lead times;
• tailor plans, budgets and forecasts on an ongoing basis to reflect changing business conditions, key events and other variables that can impact both operational and financial performance;
• communicate detailed plans, calculations and assumptions across the enterprise to support collaborative planning initiatives; and,
• empower users to track the progress of plans, budgets and forecasts.

Stratum.iPlanner leverages the Stratum.eZViewer web architecture to create and communicate corporate and user-defined rules and assumptions, calculations, and allocations at all levels. With the application, users can set top-level targets, test scenarios, and perform detailed top-down, bottom-up or middle-out calculations.

Powerful workflow / process management. Users of Stratum.iPlanner can track and communicate the progress of their plans and budgets using e-mail notifications and alerts. The application alerts users when plans need to be updated, monitors deadlines for submitting updates to plan owners, and identifies any bottlenecks that may exist throughout the process.

Robust data integration. Stratum.iPlanner enables information exchange with legacy applications, ERP, CRM, SCM and forecasting systems using the Silvon Stratum Application Foundation. The application foundation integrates relevant data from back office systems into a central data repository and allows users to write back planning information to the repository … offering real-time access to this data by other users for further analysis and manipulation.

Scalable infrastructure. Stratum.iPlanner leverages any standard Web browser within an Internet, Intranet or Extranet environment. The application’s collaborative planning capabilities and centralized data management can significantly reduce maintenance and distribution costs.
