November 30, 1999 Silvon Software, Inc. today announced that it has joined Microsoft's Data Warehousing Alliance 2000 Initiative and will supporting new technical specifications for the Microsoft® Data Warehousing Framework, an open architecture for data warehouse solution development. Silvon DataTracker, the core element of Silvons Business Intelligence Application Suite, is being enhanced to support Microsofts OLE DB for OLAP and to incorporate the common infrastructure and interoperability benefits of Microsoft's Repository 2.0 and Open Information Model (OIM).

The Data Warehousing Framework is a set of services provided in SQL server 7.0 that vendors integrate into their applications to become members in Microsofts expanded Data Warehousing Alliance program.
