Silvon Software Opens Wholly-Owned Subsidiary in Canada: Expands North American Sales & Marketing Presence for Its Packaged Analytic Applications

Westmont, IL--March 9, 1999--Silvon Software announced today the opening of Silvon Software Canada, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary that will assume responsibility for marketing and selling Silvon’s packaged business intelligence/analytic applications throughout Canada.

The formation of Silvon Software Canada, Inc. follows the opening by Silvon of four regional U.S. sales offices in 1998 as part of a North American channel expansion program.

Wayne Nathanson, who recently joined Silvon as V.P. of Business Development, will serve as general manager of the company’s newest subsidiary, reporting to John Hughes, senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. Nathanson is a native of Canada with more than 20 years experience in a variety of senior-level sales and marketing management positions at large technology companies, including IBM, Unisys and DataMirror Corporation.
