Systems Analyst

Job Description:

At Silvon, Systems Analysts are involved in all aspects of the application lifecycle from product inception through design, programming, testing, documentation review, and assisting with customer support.  As such, Systems Analysts receive a wide range of assignments and responsibilities.

Our currently available Systems Analyst position will focus primarily on the development of our zero footprint, browser based client application.  The application has components coded in C#, ASP.Net, and Javascript and accesses data from both relational data structures in SQL Server and multi-dimensional data structures in Analysis Services.  Object orientated development processes are followed with an emphasis on object / database modeling and code reuse.

To be successful in this role, applicants must be highly motivated, independent workers with a capacity to learn quickly.  A strong commitment to object orientated principles and adherence to standards is important.  Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are critical.

 

Required Qualifications:

Required Experience / Skills:

• Minimum of 6 years in a developer role.
• Minimum of 4 years of job related programming in C#, ASP, and Javascript.
  
• Strong command of SQL (Microsoft SQL Server preferred).
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.
• Object orientated development.
• Microsoft Analysis Services, multi-dimensional data structures.
• Microsoft Reporting Services.
• Microsoft Windows Server and IIS
• MDX
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Engineering.
